Dear God,
I know it's technically July 5th but it's 2 in the morning (again) and I wanna talk about freedom.
I'm so grateful to be living in a country that gives me the freedom every man deserves. I'm so proud to be able to say that America is built on the idea of equality and freedom for every man.
Looking back through history, we can't say we've done a very good job though. It's sad, but true. We have great intentions, yes. But you need more than good intentions to do good things.
After we got our freedom, we proceeded to take away other people's freedom. We had slaves. Even when African Americans got their rights, they didn't get the equal treatment they deserve. I still don't think they are treated equally even though it's been so long.
It's crazy, the hypocrisy of it all.
But instead of hating on America, I want to look forward to the future. We've progressed so far and many groups have risen up for the cause of equality for everybody in this country and some have even began the task of tackling the world. I am so proud of the people in this country who work their butts off trying to make this country and the world a better place for the future generations. I pray that we follow in those foot steps and continue building!
I love fourth of July. It's a great reminder of the freedom we have. The fireworks are nice too. The bright lights flashing and booming reminds me of cannons from the war we fought to earn our freedom. Many people around the world are robbed of the freedom they deserve as humans. I'm very grateful I have freedom and I pray that we don't take advantage of it. I pray that we put it to good use.
Let's spread freedom around. Let's not be the kid who is full yet reaches for more food.
Let's make a difference.
Happy fourth of July! Now please stop blowing up stuff at 2:22 am >.< There are much better ways to use your freedom. Like sleeping.
Love you,
Amen
